Emails To Send To Your Interviewer after an Interview

You can’t make an employer call you after your interview, but there are some things you can do to improve your chances. Thank you note email and follow-up email are the two emails that you can send to your interviewer after an interview.

  1. Send a Thank You Note Email

You should always send a thank you note after an interview. This is to express gratitude to the person or people who interviewed you. It also makes you appear more professional. Another good reason to send a thank you note is to remind the company that you exist and that you are looking forward to hearing from them. This is especially important if they have a long list of candidates to interview. So, don’t forget to send your thank you note email within 24 hours of your interview.

  1. Send a Follow – up Email

You can send an email if you asked about their hiring timeline during your interview and it’s getting close or the deadline has passed. Assume you expected to hear from them by now and are looking forward to their response. Inquire if they require any additional information from you in order to make their decision. You can mention that you’d like to know if there are any other job opportunities available to you. This demonstrates enthusiasm and initiative, and it will refresh their memory if your information has slipped through the cracks.
