PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Be a strong contributor to the management team and employee, provide Finance, Accounting & Legal subject matter expertise, process Finance, Accounting & Legal operations matters and ensure that the Finance, Accounting & Legal strategies are put into practice in the most effective and efficient way in order to fulfil the purpose of the Finance, Accounting & Legal function

ASSIGNMENT
Development Stage
 Set up financial system for financial and management reporting.
 Support project team during shopping centre construction stage to ensure that monthly follow up of cost.
 Develop financial work processes with leasing, marketing and operation.
 Financial accounting and ensuring books & records are properly kept to meet statutory or audit requirements
 Supervision of staff to ensure that accounts report is meets deadlines
 Guide, direct and motivate subordinates including setting performance standards and monitoring performance

Operational Stage

 Oversee the smooth and efficient running of Accounting Department.
 Ensure compliance with statutory authority, audit and taxation requirements.
 Ensure effective management, monitoring and tracking of business entities, reporting financial status.
 Analyse business performance/ results, providing feedback to Service Office Finance Manager.
 Follow up to ensure approved shopping centre budgets on monthly basis.
 Responsible to document and explain variations to budgets and forecast management reports, including any future/ potential exposures to the organisation.
 Monitor Tenants and work with leasing to follow up on collections.
 Prepare and report monthly financial results in accordance with company deadlines.
 Monitor and account for company assets.
 Financial accounting and ensuring books & records are properly kept to meet statutory or audit requirements
 Supervision of staff to ensure that accounts report is meets deadlines
 Guide, direct and motivate subordinates including setting performance standards and monitoring performance
 Analyse and monitor cost for shopping centre operation and departmental cost for performance evaluation report on a monthly basis in comparison with budget performance.
 Responsible for management reporting to SA.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or ACCA
  • 5-6 years of working in Finance and Accounting field
  • Managerial and leadership, Technical background from large scale companies/objects.
  • Strong Knowledge of MS Excel
  • Analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Communication and organizational skills
  • Commercial awareness and customer service oriented approach
  • Financial responsibility and budgeting experience
  • Organizational skills and multitasking, ability to prioritize
  • Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
