PROCUREMENT MANAGER [ MANUFACTURER / PASIR GUDANG ]
Role: Develops, implements and maintains a procurement system to achieve good procurement practice to
meet the business requirement.
a. Studying and understanding the nature of each project, scope of work and work descriptions.
b. Liaises with key Project Leader to determine their product and service needed
Control and Execution
a. To implement and ensure enforcement of company purchasing procedures are practiced.
b. To ensure effective sourcing from local and overseas suppliers on project materials/service
requirement as per specification and within budget.
c. To ensure proper review of all purchasing data including price comparison and vendor assessment are
carried out before the procurement of material/services
d. Nurtures relationships with suppliers to negotiate the best prices for company
e. Identifies and researches potential new suppliers
f. Oversees and performance manage a team of Purchasing Executive & Expeditor, monitoring,
guidance and support on day-to-day procurement tasks to ensure procurement activities are carried
out systematically and in a control manner.
Project Documentation & Reporting
a. Monthly update and reporting on all SBU Procurement Activities include but not limited to the total cost
of purchases, cost saving achieved, potential new supplier and etc.
b. To maintain all relevant Purchase Order and other purchasing documents as required.
Personal Attribute and Accountability
a. Representing Dynaciate for all meeting/negotiation with vendor & sub-con, attentive to all purchasing
activities and achieving recognition in terms of capacity and capability as a Procurement Manager
b. Reports to the Supply Chain Management General Manager
a. Minimum Diploma of any related courses, preferable in Mechanical Engineerin or Industrial
b. Minimum of 8 years Procurement experience in construction/ engineering, mechanical services,
maintenance or steel fabrication industry;
c. Candidates with working experience in Oil & Gas Industry will be an added advantage;
d. Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of employees;
e. Ability to manage suppliers and vendors;
f. A self-motivated team player;
g. Computer literate, ideally with proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
