Sales Engineer (Remote – Penang Based)

Job Description

• Prepare quotations, including CRM system entries, and ensure the accuracy of all bid costing submissions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to support long-term business growth.
• Plan and execute sales and marketing activities to achieve sales targets, revenue growth, and profitability goals.
• Gather and coordinate market intelligence and customer requirements to support business development initiatives and improve competitiveness.
• Support and organize marketing activities to maximize future sales opportunities and customer engagement.
• Coordinate closely with purchasing and logistics teams to ensure smooth order processing and timely delivery to customers.
• Arrange and coordinate product, system, and technical training sessions for customers and business partners.
• Monitor and report current and future sales opportunities through the CRM system on a regular basis.
• Ensure all proposals and bid documents submitted to customers meet quality and accuracy standards.
• Support smooth handover processes from sales to project implementation teams for secured projects.
• Apply strategic sales approaches and effective selling techniques to improve sales conversion rates.

Requirements

• Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Professional Certificate, or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Technical, or related fields.
• Additional qualifications in Sales or Marketing will be an added advantage.
• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in sales and marketing within engineering, industrial solutions, systems, projects, or product-based industries.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to adapt to different business environments and customer needs.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia for effective communication with customers and stakeholders.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office applications, networking concepts, and voice/data communication systems.
• Willing to travel locally and internationally when required.
• Self-motivated, customer-oriented, and capable of working independently in a remote environment.
