Network Security Engineer (Post-Sales)

Overview

We are looking for a Network Security Engineer (Post-Sales) to design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure solutions for clients. This role involves working closely with clients, project managers, and cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of network and security projects. The ideal candidate will play a key role in optimizing network performance, enhancing security, and ensuring scalability and reliability across enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

Network Design & Implementation

• Collaborate with clients to assess network requirements and design customized network solutions.
• Configure, deploy, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking devices to meet project objectives.
• Implement and support virtualized network environments such as SD-WAN and virtual private cloud solutions.

Network Optimization & Performance

• Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve issues to ensure optimal operations.
• Implement Quality of Service (QoS) policies to prioritize traffic and improve performance for critical business applications.
• Perform routine health checks and optimization activities for enterprise network environments.

Troubleshooting & Technical Support

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for network-related issues.
• Diagnose and resolve connectivity, routing, switching, wireless, and security-related problems.
• Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, changes, and topology diagrams.

Scalability & High Availability

• Plan and implement network scalability strategies to support business growth and evolving requirements.
• Design and deploy redundancy and failover mechanisms to ensure high availability and business continuity.

Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with system administrators, cloud engineers, and security teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Communicate effectively with clients by explaining technical solutions and providing regular project updates.
• Support project implementation, migration, and maintenance activities as required.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 1–3 years of professional experience in networking or network security.
• Experience working as a support engineer with distributors or system integrators is an added advantage.
• Good understanding of networking protocols and technologies, including:
  • TCP/IP
  • VLANs
  • VPNs
  • WLAN
  • NAC
• Hands-on experience supporting and maintaining enterprise corporate networks.
• Familiarity with enterprise networking and security solutions from vendors such as:
  • Aruba Networks
  • Cisco Systems
  • Dell Networking
  • Extreme Networks
  • Fortinet
  • H3C
  • Huawei
  • Palo Alto Networks
  • Check Point
• Understanding of network security best practices and technologies.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA or HCNA are an advantage.
• Strong communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
