Position Overview
A Regional Sales Executive is responsible for driving sales growth within the Johor Bahru region by managing existing accounts and actively developing new business opportunities. This role requires frequent client visits, strong relationship management skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote setup.
Key Responsibilities
- Visit prospective and existing clients to promote products and services.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through networking and market research.
- Conduct product presentations and explain features, benefits, and pricing.
- Prepare quotations, negotiate terms, and close sales deals.
- Follow up on leads and ensure effective conversion into sales.
- Provide market feedback and insights on customer needs and industry trends.
- Prepare daily or weekly sales activity and visit reports.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales pipelines, and ongoing deals.
- Achieve or exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
- Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., logistics, customer service, finance) to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
- Address customer concerns and resolve issues promptly.
- Attend sales meetings, product training sessions, and marketing events.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Expectation:
- Initially manage existing accounts, with a strong focus on generating new business.
- Cover the Johor Bahru region, with a minimum of 4 client visits per day.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of sales experience, preferably in a B2B environment.
- Experience in outdoor sales and client-facing roles is required.
- Technical background (education or work experience) is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of industrial products (e.g., castor wheels) is preferred.
- Proficiency in English and Mandarin.
- Diploma or equivalent qualification preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
- Basic Salary: RM 3,000 – RM 5,000
- Commission Structure:
- 2% commission on new sales
- 1% commission on existing customer sales
- Additional bonuses for achieving sales targets and meeting activity requirements
- Annual performance bonus (subject to target achievement)
- Petrol and toll claims (based on receipts)
- Statutory contributions (EPF & SOCSO)
- Pro-rated annual leave during probation (subject to approval)
- Provision of work tools (e.g., laptop, mobile phone, and necessary equipment)
- In-house product training provided
Work Arrangement
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:30 PM
- Primarily field-based role with client visits across Johor Bahru
- Remote reporting from home (office based in Penang)
- Required to attend:
- Weekly online sales meetings
- Monthly in-person sales meeting in Kulim, Kedah
