Job Title: Security Officer
Position Summary
The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and efficient working environment for employees, partners, and visitors. This role integrates security management, scheduled waste compliance, and technical facility maintenance to ensure the protection of assets and the reliability of operational equipment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Security Management & Safety
- Develop, implement, and enforce security policies to safeguard personnel, property, and sensitive information.
- Coordinate with public authorities such as police, fire departments, and emergency services.
- Lead emergency response efforts, including medical incidents, fire alarms, and security threats.
- Supervise security personnel, including recruitment, training, task allocation, and performance evaluation.
- Conduct investigations into incidents or policy breaches and prepare detailed reports for management.
2. Environmental Compliance (Scheduled Waste)
- Serve as the Competent Person for scheduled waste management in compliance with Malaysian regulations.
- Identify, classify, and manage proper handling, storage, packaging, and labeling of scheduled waste.
- Implement waste reduction, reuse, recycling, and disposal strategies.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure full regulatory compliance and reporting.
3. Facility & Equipment Maintenance
- Work closely with facility personnel to oversee maintenance of buildings, infrastructure, and manufacturing equipment.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and improve reliability.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and coordinate emergency repairs.
- Plan and schedule maintenance activities while managing tools and consumables inventory.
- Ensure all equipment complies with statutory inspection and certification requirements.

- Support ISO audits and maintain proper documentation for quality and environmental systems.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Degree or Higher Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Additional qualification in Business Administration is an advantage.
- 5–7 years of experience in factory operations (machinery, electrical systems, HVAC).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory security role.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems and prepare technical documentation.
- Knowledge in fire safety or occupational health and safety is an added advantage.
- Good command of written and spoken English.

- Ability to work under pressure and handle standby duties when required.
