Position Title: Senior Procurement Executive
Department: Procurement
Reports To: Procurement Manager
Role Overview
This role is responsible for executing and overseeing procurement activities to ensure timely sourcing of materials, cost efficiency, and adherence to established policies and procedures. The position involves managing supplier orders, planning purchases, and monitoring vendor performance while coordinating closely with internal departments to support operational and production requirements.
The incumbent ensures procurement processes are aligned with internal standards, contractual obligations, and audit requirements, while contributing to continuous improvements in cost control and supply reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage end-to-end procurement activities, including advance ordering, stock monitoring, and inventory optimization to meet operational demands.
- Drive cost optimization initiatives and develop sourcing strategies to ensure sustainable supply and competitive pricing.
- Execute daily procurement operations such as purchase planning, issuance of Purchase Orders (PO), and follow-up on delivery schedules to ensure timely supply.
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information to support operational efficiency and decision-making.
- Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery, pricing, and service standards, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Resolve supplier-related issues including delays, quality concerns, service discrepancies, and invoicing matters to minimize operational disruptions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Production, Sales, Warehouse) to support product launches and ongoing operational needs.
- Support the implementation of procurement strategies to meet business requirements, including tight delivery timelines and short lead times.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and relevant standards, including participation in audits and supplier performance reviews.
- Maintain strong supplier relationships and continuously identify and evaluate new sourcing opportunities.
- Perform any additional duties or assignments as directed by management.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in a relevant field or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in procurement or a related field.
- Familiarity with procurement processes, inventory planning, ERP systems, and audit/ISO requirements.
- Strong skills in sourcing, negotiation, supplier management, and cost control.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and well-organized, with good coordination and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrates a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to act in the best interest of the organization.
