Position: Senior Procurement Engineer

Location: Johor Bahru
Salary Range: Up to RM8,000
Language Requirement: English & Chinese

Key Responsibilities

• Drive initiatives to enhance the supplier base and ensure supply continuity, focusing on quality, lead time, delivery performance, and cost optimization.
• Lead RFQ processes and manage direct commodities, particularly standard and fabrication parts, ensuring materials and services meet approved specifications and departmental goals.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, promoting continuous improvement and technological advancement through regular communication and performance evaluation.
• Negotiate effectively with suppliers, applying best practices (5Rs) in RFQs and contract terms to achieve optimal value.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Business Units, R&D, and Project teams to ensure efficient procurement processes and timely delivery.
• Identify, coordinate, and resolve procurement and supply chain issues to ensure projects are completed on time and meet quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with procurement and supply chain procedures, and support additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related engineering field.
• Background in manufacturing environments, particularly in electronics, metal, or plastic sourcing, is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently while managing tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
