Position: Boilerman Grade 1
Department: Maintenance – Utilities
Reports To: Utility Engineer / Utility Manager

Job Summary

Responsible for operating, maintaining, and ensuring the safe and efficient performance of boilers and steam distribution systems to support plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor boilers and steam systems.

• Troubleshoot and repair equipment when issues occur.

• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability.

• Maintain utility systems such as:

  • Compressed air

  • Chillers & cooling systems

  • HVAC / refrigeration

  • Water treatment & wastewater systems

• Use testing instruments such as:

  • Multimeter

  • pH meter

  • Conductivity meter

  • Thermometer

• Read P&ID, schematics, and technical drawings.

• Ensure a safe working environment and compliance with safety SOPs.

• Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

• Grade 1 Boilerman Certificate (DOSH / JKKP certified).

• Minimum 3 years of boiler operation experience in a plant.

• Knowledge of:

  • Boiler & steam systems

  • Compressors & chillers

  • HVAC systems

  • Pumps, valves, and motors

• Basic ability to read PLC / DCS systems for troubleshooting.

• Able to work in a team and under pressure.

• Physically fit.

Working Details

Working Hours: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Working Days: 4 days on, 2 days off (rotation shift)
Overtime: Approx. 2.5 hours daily
Contract: Yearly contract (Outsource)
Permanent Conversion: Possible if performance and budget allow

Salary & Benefits

Basic Salary: RM4,500

Allowances:

• Attendance: RM100/month

• Night Shift: RM110/month

• Transport: RM77/month

• Meal: RM154/month

Insurance:

• Hospitalisation & Surgical

• Personal Accident

Public Holidays: 11 days

Candidate Requirements

• Valid Boilerman Grade 1 certificate from Department of Occupational Safety and Health.

• Minimum 3 years boiler experience.

• No health issues (especially slip disc).

• No criminal record.

• Age preferably 30–45 years.
