Senior Sales Manager

Job Description

  • Develop and implement business plans and sales strategies to achieve sales targets and profitability.

  • Lead, manage, and develop the sales team by providing guidance, setting performance standards, and monitoring individual and team performance.

  • Prepare and execute action plans for both individual sales staff and the team to effectively identify and pursue sales leads and prospects.

  • Initiate and coordinate strategic plans to expand into new markets and increase market penetration.

  • Support the development and implementation of marketing initiatives when required.

  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with sales staff to strengthen communication, identify training needs, and improve sales performance and activities.

  • Provide timely performance feedback and updates to senior management.

  • Prepare and submit accurate and competitive pricing proposals for prospects while maintaining optimal profit margins.

  • Collaborate closely with the Supply Chain team to ensure smooth order fulfillment and operational coordination.

  • Maintain accurate records of pricing, sales activities, and performance reports.

  • Manage departmental expenses and ensure alignment with approved budget guidelines.

  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and business ethics, and communicate these effectively to the sales team.

  • Demonstrate strong leadership by setting examples in professionalism, commitment, organizational skills, and sales practices.

  • Conduct regular coaching and mentoring sessions to enhance motivation, selling skills, and team performance.

  • Maintain strong relationships with clients in the assigned market to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

  • Manage overseas sales activities and work with international distributors where required.

  • Handle business-to-business (B2B) sales activities within a manufacturing environment.


Requirements

  • Possess at least a Diploma or an equivalent qualification.

  • Proficient in written and spoken English.

  • Prior experience in sales is required.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels.

  • Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision.

  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Environmental Management Systems (EMS) related to managerial responsibilities and authorities.
