Position Overview
We are seeking a high-caliber technical expert in Surface Mount Technology (SMT) to lead process optimization and technical excellence within our manufacturing facility. This role is designed for a seasoned professional who can bridge the gap between complex machine programming and strategic process improvement, ensuring peak production yield and quality standards.
Core Responsibilities

Process Engineering & Optimization: Expertly configure, operate, and calibrate the full SMT line, including Screen Printers, Pick & Place machines, Reflow Ovens, SPI, and AOI systems.

Strategic Programming: Execute advanced machine programming, optimization, and line balancing to maximize throughput and minimize cycle times.

Technical Troubleshooting: Lead deep-dive root cause analysis for SMT process defects and equipment failures to drastically reduce downtime.

Yield Enhancement: Analyze production defects and implement robust corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to ensure industry-leading quality benchmarks.

NPI & Project Leadership: Spearhead New Product Introduction (NPI) and complex project transfers (e.g., Bright Line initiatives), ensuring seamless integration from prototype to mass production.

Technical Decision Making: Act as the primary technical authority for process validation, equipment upgrades, and yield-improvement strategies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with QA and Design Engineering teams to validate processes and uphold rigorous safety and quality compliance.

Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and structured training to junior technicians and operators to elevate the overall competency of the production team.
Requirements & Qualifications

Industry Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in a high-volume SMT manufacturing environment (EMS or Semiconductor industries preferred).

Technical Mastery: Advanced knowledge of SMT programming logic, equipment hardware, and sophisticated troubleshooting techniques.

Project Management: Proven track record of managing NPI cycles and leading technical matters independently.

Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret data and implement process controls that drive measurable improvements.

Education: A Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical) or a related technical field is preferred.
