Job Overview
The Project Engineer is responsible for assisting the Lead Engineer or Project Manager in the overall execution of engineering projects. The primary objective is to ensure projects are delivered within budget and on schedule while meeting all customer specifications and functional requirements. This role involves preparing detailed engineering documentation, coordinating departmental deliverables, and managing technical selections for project materials.
Core Responsibilities
Engineering & Documentation (30%): Prepare basic and detailed engineering documentation according to approved lists and secure final engineering approvals.
Project Execution (30%): Support the Lead Engineer and Project Manager in delivering projects within defined schedules and budgets while meeting customer requirements.
Departmental Coordination (20%): Collaborate with production, procurement, logistics, and document control centers to ensure all project deliverables are met.
Material & Procurement (10%): Prepare specifications for material requisitions and conduct inspections of delivered items from sub-vendors to verify quality and correctness.Project Profitability (10%): Ensure appropriate engineering methodologies and material buyout strategies are used to maximize project profitability.
Key Interactions
Internal: Coordinate with the Project Support Group on deliverables and report to the Project Management Office regarding budget, schedule, and customer satisfaction.
External: Communicate with customers regarding engineering designs, documentation, and logistics to ensure smooth delivery.
Entry-Level Requirements
Education: A Diploma or Degree in a relevant Engineering field.
Experience: Open to Fresh Graduates; however, 1–2 years of experience is ideal.
Skills:
Fundamental engineering knowledge.
Strong technical decision-making abilities (collaborative and independent).
Ability to follow and modify engineering standards and processes.
