Position: IT Administrator & Helpdesk

Client: ZF Aftermarket Malaysia Sdn. Bhd.

Location: Senai & PTP Employment

Type: Contract (3–6 months, subject to renewal)

Work Arrangement: Hybrid / On-site

Salary Range: MYR 4,000 – 5,000

Headcount: 1 Compan

Working Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM

 

Job Responsibilities

1. Server Administration

  • Perform system administration and configuration of servers.
  • Manage batch processing and job scheduling.
  • Implement and maintain current security standards.
  • Monitor hardware performance and system health.
  • Execute regular patching of supported systems.
  • Remediate identified issues and provide lifecycle support. 

2. Network & Wi-Fi Support 

  • Install physical network devices and provide logical connectivity support (e.g., VLAN and port changes).
  • Participate in network design, installation, and change management activities. 
  • Manage network device lifecycle and firmware upgrades. 
  • Support troubleshooting and resolution of network-related issues.

3. Storage Management 

  • Coordinate and educate site users on standard storage solutions, including lifecycle management and break-fix support.
  • Verify and manage shared drives and folder creation in accordance with standards.

4. Data Center Operations 

  • Perform hardware installation and cabling activities.
  • Accompany and coordinate with external vendors during installations or maintenance work.
  • Monitor infrastructure and support MiConDis assessments and compliance requirements.
  • Approve and manage access to the data center.
  • Maintain IT-related documentation in iITEM. 

5. Backup & Restore

  • Coordinate and educate sites on standard backup solutions.
  • Conduct quarterly test restores to ensure backup integrity and reliability.

6. Printing Services

  • Manage the lifecycle of on-site printers.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for print services, support, and escalation.

7. Telephony Systems

  • Assign phone numbers to end users.
  • Install and support conference room devices.
  • Coordinate with local telecom operators for maintenance and support.
  • Manage telephony system lifecycle and support migration to Microsoft Teams telephony.

8. End-User Computing Support

  • Manage the lifecycle of end-user devices.
  • Provide hardware and software support to end users.

9. Audit & Compliance Support

  • Participate in internal and external audits (e.g., TISAX, ITAF, DQS, ISO).
  • Assist sites in addressing security findings identified by global IT teams or monitoring systems.

10. Local Applications Support

  • Provide best-effort support for local applications.
  • Guide business users on global IT standards and proper application management.

11. Production Target Operating Model (Digital Advisor Role)

  • Act as the local representative of Global IT, promoting digital solutions
  • Partner with business stakeholders to support digital transformation initiatives.
  • Advise on available IT technologies, tools, and solutions.
  • Support LAN connectivity within production and shop-floor environments.

12. Global & Local Projects / Change Management

  • Support global and local IT projects, rollouts, and system implementations.
  • Apply local plant knowledge to ensure successful execution of initiatives.
  • Share best practices and lessons learned from similar projects across sites.
  • Provide post-implementation support and drive adoption of digital solutions.
