KINDERGARTEN PRINCIPAL
Position: Kindergarten Principal
Location: Batu Pahat
Report to: Managing Director
Key Internal Departments to work closely with: Finance, Human Resources and Senior Management
Primary Objective: The Kindergarten Principal is responsible for the overall management, development, and performance of the kindergarten. This includes leading the academic team, ensuring a safe and nurturing learning environment, student enrolment, maintaining compliance with education standards, and fostering positive communication among teachers, parents, and students. The principal also plays a key role in curriculum implementation, staff training, and upholding the school’s values and philosophy of education.
Job Descriptions:
- Responsible for daily operation of kindergarten which incudes teaching, class schedule, school fee collection, allocation of resources, budgeting and etc.
- Responsible for student enrollment to ensure number of students in line with company's goal.
- Supervising and maintaining the safety and health standards of kindergarten to ensure learning and growing in a safe and hygiene environment.
- Communicating with parents, providing parents with information about students' learning progress and performance in the kindergarten, and actively establishing good relationships with parents.
- Recruiting, training and supporting teachers achieve their personal KPI to ensure that students receive high quality education and development in the kindergarten.
- Applying organization culture,organising meeting regularly, developing and implementing the standards and procedures, rules and regulations in the kindergarten.
- Overseeing the employee’s performance, conducting performance appraisal, planning the class schedule arrangement and handling personnel deployment.
- Handle emergency cases in the kindergarten and dealing with escalated student/parent issues.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or above in Early Childhood Education, Education Management, Management or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of experience in early childhood education, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Skills & Attributes:
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Passionate about child-centered education and character development.
- Fluent in English, Mandarin and Malay.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and handle challenges with professionalism.
- Positive attitude, team-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement.
- Other Requirements:
- Familiar with early childhood curriculum frameworks.
- Demonstrates high ethical standards and integrity.
