Job Title: QC/QA Engineer
Job Description
This role is primarily responsible for the overall quality control and assurance within the production process.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct quality checks on incoming raw materials and outgoing finished goods.
• Manage and coordinate customer feedback or complaints and ensure that corrective actions are initiated, effectively implemented and sustained in Production.
• Oversee laboratory testing procedures, equipment calibration, and routine maintenance.
• Ensure proper documentation, control of records, maintain effective filing systems to ensure records are available at all times.
• Provide technical training for new lab technicians on equipment usage, testing protocols, lab safety, and housekeeping practices.
• Maintain and support the effectiveness of ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
• Organize and lead weekly QC/QA meetings, including preparation of meeting minutes.
• Participate as a member of the Safety Committee to promote and monitor plant safety.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering is preferred. Candidates with a tertiary qualification in Chemistry or Engineering, along with relevant laboratory experience, are also encouraged to apply.
• 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in a Quality Control or Quality Assurance role.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Management System is an advantage.
• Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work independently, with good interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory capabilities.
• Willingness to travel locally and overseas as required.
• Flexibility to work on weekends or public holidays when necessary.
