Job Title: Group Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of accurate and timely consolidated financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
• Manage monthly, quarterly and annual group reporting processes and public announcements.
• Perform analytical reviews of consolidated financial statements including profit and loss analysis, balance sheet assessment and trend analysis.
• Coordinate with finance teams across subsidiaries to ensure timely submission of financial statements and analyses.
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements for external audits.
• Support internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and insights.
• Assist in the preparation of the Group’s annual budget and financial forecast.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure consistency across the Group.
• Assist in corporate exercises undertaken by the Group, such as mergers, acquisitions, or restructuring activities.
• Evaluate projects and participate in ad hoc process standardization projects within the group reporting function.
• Liaise with external auditors, internal auditors, company secretaries and tax agents on all related matters.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the superior.

Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency in fundamental accounting principles and taxation matters.
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years in a related field, with substantial experience in group financial consolidation.
• Hands-on experience with group consolidation processes.
• Familiarity with SAP systems is advantageous.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to interpret complex financial data.
• Good communication skills coupled with a positive work attitude.
• Preferably able to commence work immediately or on short notice.
