Job Title: Leading Hand Crew (Singapore)
 

Job Responsibilities: 

• Previous employment as a marine engineer is preferred but is not essential
• Tasks on board will involve the repair and maintenance of a variety of equipment and machinery under the supervision and assistance from the First and Second Engineers
• The candidate should be keen to learn new tasks and skills
• This is an exciting opportunity to work with an energetic crew of 12 who take great pride in their work and keep the ship in pristine condition
• Note that the vessel remains in Singapore waters and returns to its berth every evening. Candidate will be provided with basic crew accommodation on board

A. Performs engine room watch with the Engineers and will become familiar with small diesel engines from 100hp to 500hp. 

B. Assists the Engineers in the management and maintenance of the engine room and its machinery and other equipment on board the ship.

C. Familiarises himself with the handling of various machinery and equipment as well as the maintenance of tanks, pumps, pipes, valves, compressors, small motors etc.

D. Ensure that all equipment and tools under their care are in good running condition.

E. Cleans and maintains the Engine Room.
