Job Title: Warehouse Operations and Technical Coordinator
Job Summary:
The Warehouse Operations and Technical Coordinator (Decking & Door Installation Focus) is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations while providing specialized technical expertise in decking and door installation. This role ensures efficient warehouse processes, manages technical aspects of decking and door projects, and facilitates effective communication between operational and technical teams.
Job Responsibilities:
Operational Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of decking and door products
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct cycle counts, and investigate discrepancies to maintain inventory accuracy of decking and door materials
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of orders and shipments
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, especially for sensitive decking and door materials
- Address and resolve operational issues promptly, particularly those related to the storage and handling of decking and doors
Technical Responsibilities (Decking & Door Installation Focus):
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor technical aspects of decking and door installation projects, including pre-fabrication, pre-assembly and staging
- Develop project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation plans specifically for decking and door related tasks
- Draft technical drawings, specifications, and installation plans using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) for decking and door projects
- Liaise with contractors, installers, and internal teams to ensure project success for decking and door installations
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies related to decking and door projects
- Ensure decking and door projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards
- Conduct technical assessments of decking and door products for quality control and installation suitability
- Develop and maintain installation guidelines and best practices for decking and doors
- Provide technical support to sales teams regarding decking and door product specifications and installation requirements
- Perform site measurements and create installation plans when required
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience in warehouse operations and technical aspects of decking and door installation
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) for technical drafting of decking and door installation plans
- Strong knowledge of decking and door product specifications, installation techniques, and industry standards
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, particularly for decking and door related projects
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, specifically related to installation challenges
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, especially when coordinating with installers and sales teams
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations and installation
