Job Title: Assistant Finance Manager

Job Summary:

Financial Analysis & Reporting, Modelling & Benchmarking Budgeting & Forecasting

Authority: 

Assist Finance Controller in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for the company.

Reporting To

Financial Controller/Assistant Financial Controller

 

QUALIFICATION:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, CPA, ACCA is a plus

Experience: 5 years of relevant work experience in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end closing activities

Skill/Training: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial reporting tools, SAP

Others: Strong analytical skills and ability to distil complex financial data into actionable insights. Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES include:

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory & Capex Management:

  • Monitor obsolete and slow-moving stocks, conduct inventory trend analyses, and days turnover.
  • Coordinate cycle counts and physical inventory stock takes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Conduct financial analyses on proposed Capex projects, evaluating their feasibility and potential impact.

Costing & Financial Analysis & Reporting:

  • Conduct detailed cost analyses for materials, labor, and overhead to ensure accurate product casting.
  • Perform product cost simulations for new products, changes in manufacturing processes, or fluctuations in raw material prices.
  • Manage monthly financial closing, forecasting, yearly budgeting & ensure timely, accurate reporting. Oversee the budgeting process, working closely with department heads to establish realistic budgets.
  • Review and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, provide commentary for industrial variances, presentations for management.
  • Conduct financial analyses, close monitoring of key performance indicators (KPI), collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify best practices for process improvements & cost saving initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures and external regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other ad hoc projects and assignments required by management team.
