Job Description & Requirement for stamping quality engineer :

• Overseeing the quality and consistency of metal stamping processes used in manufacturing.
• Ensure stamping parts meet all quality standards and specifications.

Key responsibility:

1. Quality Control

• Conduct inspections and test on stamping part to ensure they meet dimensional, tolerance and visual/ appearance standards.
• Develop, implement and monitor quality control procedures and standard for stamping process.
• Establish and maintain inspection criteria for raw materials, in-process items, in-coming and finished products (out going ).

1. Root cause Analysis :

• Investigate quality issues or defects in stamping parts and identify root causes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams ( such as production, tool eng.  and design ) to trouble shoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Implement corrective & preventive action ( CAPA ) to prevent recurrence.

1. Process Improvement.

• Analysis current stamping processes to identify areas for improvement in terms of quality, efficiency and cost.
• Recommend modifications to stamping techniques, tools or equipment to enhance product quality.
• Collaborate with the production team to establish best practices in stamping operations.

1. Documentation and Reporting :

• Prepare and maintain quality documentation, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports and audit findings.
• Ensure compliance  with industry or customers standards, regulations and internal quality requirements.
• Compile and present quality metrics to management, identifying trends and areas to improvement.

1. Supplier Quality Management:

• Works with suppliers to resolve quality issues related to stamping component & others.
• Assess and monitor the quality of materials and components from suppliers.
• Conduct supplier audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and support continuous improvement.

1. Training And Development:

• Train production staff on quality standards, inspection methods and problem- solving techniques.
• Develop Quality awareness initiatives and promote adherence to quality standard among the teams.

      Qualification :

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering  or related field.
• Experience : Previous experience in a manufacturing or stamping environment, typically 2-5 years, with a focus on quality engineering.

Skills :

• Proficiency in quality Analysis tools ( SPC, FMEA, 8D ,OPC, six-sigma )
• Strong understanding of metal stamping processes, materials and tolerances.
• Familiarity with ISO9001QMS, IATF standard and others relevant industry quality standards.
• Excellent analytical communication and problem – solving skills.

 Key Competencies :

• Ability to work independently and collaborate within cross-functional teams.
• Capable of handling multiple projects and prioritizing effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
