1. TITLE : Finance Manager
2. DEPARTMENT : FA
3. REPORT TO : GM Hotel
4. RESPONSIBILITY :
4.1 Monthly closing of General Ledger and Management Accounts.
4.2 Reconciliation of Accounts including balance sheet items.
4.3 Supervises all Accounts staff.
4.4 Checks on invoices and other supporting documents for payments to vendors.
4.5 Prepare government tax & tourism tax to customs.
4.6 Ensure all mandatory payments are paid on time, such as customs & excise, TNB, etc.
4.7 Bank reconciliation to be completed every month.
4.8 Perform surprise cash count of general cashier’s float with Accounts Assistant-Income
Audit.
4.9 Check accuracy of general cashier’s report and post into V1 system by end of the month.
4.1.0 Check accuracy of receiving’s report.
4.1.1 Checks serial number on foreign exchange voucher and official receipt.
4.1.2 Accounts coding on purchase request (direct items).
4.1.3 Monitor daily cash transaction through online cash management system.
4.1.4 Perform ad-hoc task as and when required.
4.1.5 Any other duties as required by FC.
5. AUTHORITY :
Major issues have to refer to Financial Controller. Otherwise, based on the policy & procedure
and standing operating procedure of the department as guideline.
6. QUALIFICATION
a) Skills Required
 Holds a Diploma in Finance and/or Accounting
 Well developed reporting and analytical skills
 Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions,
proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
 Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables
 Well developed computer skills particularly in the use of MS Office, E-Mail and Finance
Management systems
 Comprehensive knowledge of relevant taxation and accounting law and principles
 Comprehensive knowledge of business needs, financial reporting and productivity
requirements
 Fluent English – written and spoken
b) Work Experience
 Minimum two to four years work experience as Accounting Supervisor in a hotel or similar
large organisation or accounting firm
 Preferable prerequisite is experience in the Hotel and Travel industry
