Role:  Supplier Quality Engineer (Outsourcing Business)

Industry: Leading manufacturer of high-quality plastic components and products

Work Location: Larkin, Johor

Keys:

• Responsible for managing the quality strategy for outsourced suppliers.

Responsibilities:

• Supplier Quality Management:
  -Develop and implement quality assurance protocols for external suppliers engaged in surface treatment processes (plating, silkscreen, painting) and potential outsourcing of entire injection molded parts.
  -Conduct regular audits and inspections of supplier facilities to ensure compliance with quality standards and company specifications.
• Quality Control Strategy:
  -Collaborate with the procurement team to define and execute quality control strategies for outsourced components and services.
  -Work with suppliers to address quality issues, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence.
• Defective Parts Management:
  -Manage the return, inspection, and disposition of defective parts from suppliers.
  -Ensure timely communication with suppliers regarding quality defects and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Documentation and Reporting:
  -Maintain comprehensive documentation of quality control processes, supplier audits, and corrective actions.
  -Prepare regular quality reports for internal stakeholders, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
• Specification and Standard Compliance:
  -Ensure that all outsourced parts and treatments comply with company specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  -Collaborate with the engineering team to review and update specifications as needed.
• Continuous Improvement:
  -Drive continuous improvement in supplier quality performance through process optimization, training, and best practice sharing.
  -Stay informed about industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in quality assurance for injection molded parts and surface treatment.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of Injection Parts
• Ability to work independently
• Able to read and write English and Malay / Chinese

• Bachelor degree in Engineering , Quality Management, or a closely related field is required.

• At least 5 years of working experience in Plastic Manufacturing.

• Office environment and on supplier site.
