Job Position – E&I TECHNICIAN ( PASIR GUDANG )

Job Descriptions

• Equipment Failures – Carry out effective, efficient fault finding and problem resolution to root cause where possible on a wide range of complex systems in a continuous process environment so that they maintain the plant to deliver the target operating efficiencies.
• System Owners – As a system owner you would be the lead for your area to ensure documentation is available and up to date and a routine software backup/comparison is completed and stored correctly. In addition you would be the key contact point for any projects or modifications in your area. This doesn’t mean you are solely responsible for actions but you should champion the area and ensure accurate documentation and software is available for the team.
• Safety & Compliance – Apply, and ensure compliance, with the Company’s Health & Safety and Environmental Policy and Procedures so that a safe and secure environment is maintained.
• Budget Control – To support the Engineering group by following all financial control procedures so that the Engineering Team has an accurate and up to date picture of current spend vs. budget.
• Continuous Improvement – Actively engaging in plant continue improvement (CI) activities.
• Preventive Maintenance – Carry out the preventive maintenance program that will be assigned to you.
• Working hours to be arranged to cover other shift & day technicians. This means this position will need to work on a non-working day as and when required. Stand-by to response to call-in for rectification of emergency breakdown / problems and work at extended hour.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or required

Requirements

• The candidate must be a time served multi skilled technician with technical / vocational certificate / diploma qualification in an Electronic / Electrical / Mechatronic / Instrumentation / Industrial Automation discipline with a minimum A0 chargeman qualification certified by The Energy Commission of Malaysia (Suruhanjaya Tenaga Malaysia) or suitable knowledge through experience.
• Minimum of 3 years working experience is required for this position
• Ability in troubleshooting and rectification of electrical and automation system such as motors, starter, inverter, servo, wiring, power supply interlock, sensors, control valves, PLCs, conveyors and etc.
• Working experience in Siemens PLCs & HMIs is added advantage.
• Able to work at extended hour.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team, work within deadlines
• Experience with SAP would be preferable but not essential.
• Solid problem-solving abilities. Good verbal and written communication skills. Team player and ability to work on an independent basis.
• The job requires the candidate to work on an eight (8) hours rotating shift basis. You will work together with a shift mechanical technician to ensure the machineries and processes in the plant are working effectively during your shift.
