RESPONSIBILITIES

Has overall shift responsibilities and accountable to the Restaurant Manager for the smooth running of his / her shift.

• Supervise the upkeep cleanliness of the entire restaurant by means of the cleaning chart.
• Ensure the proper administration of float money to cashier and the submission of an accurate Shift Cashier Reports after each shift and the proper check control record.
• Responsible for balancing the shift’s clearing with the cashier and may be assigned to bank-in sales money.
• To inculcate strongly to all crew members the concept of stock rotation (FIFO) for all prepared food, raw food, canned and dry provisions.
• Upkeep efficiently all inventory records and ensure the organization and cleanliness of storeroom and all refrigerated storage.
• Take charge of staff welfare in area of meal times, personnel problems, helping out in busy times, birthdays, outings and to ensure a high standard of morale at all times.
• Ensure the continuous and correct use of all checklists in the opening and closing operations.
• Undertake staff scheduling and budgeting responsibility under direction of the Restaurant Manager.
• Take check on quality of food production by instructing the correct procedures of standards recipes.
• Ensure that Standard Operating Procedures are being follow by all crew members.
• Hold regular informal meeting with staff to pass information and receive feedback on work problems and to encourage staff participation in operational improvement.

Perform the ordering functions with approved suppliers and ensure the proper receiving of goods in weight ordered, supplied and quality standards
