Maintenance & Facility Technician

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable, disciplined, and hands-on Maintenance & Facility Technician to oversee and execute overall machinery, electrical, and facility maintenance for our plant in Pasir Gudang. In this standalone role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring smooth factory operations, minimal equipment downtime, and strict adherence to workplace safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Machinery & Facility Maintenance: Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery, equipment, electrical systems, and general factory facilities according to scheduled plans.

• Electrical System Upkeep & Wiring: Monitor electrical installations, distribution boards, wiring, lighting, and power supplies. Carry out basic wiring, testing, and repair works in compliance with safety regulations.

• Building & Plumbing Repairs: Attend to general facility repairs including plumbing, drainage, doors, water supply, and minor building infrastructure needs.

• Breakdown Attendance & Troubleshooting: Rapidly respond to internal maintenance requests and operational breakdowns to ensure minimal production disruption.

• Contractor Coordination: Supervise external vendors and specialized service providers during major machinery servicing, installation, or complex repair works.

• Inventory & Spare Parts Control: Track spare parts, tools, and maintenance inventory levels; raise purchase requisitions to maintain optimal stock levels.

• Documentation & Compliance: Maintain precise logbooks and records of preventive maintenance, breakdown cases, equipment servicing, and spare parts usage while strictly enforcing 5S and safety standards.

• Project Support: Assist in factory improvement projects, machine relocations, and facility renovation efforts as required by management.

Requirements

• Education & Qualification: Minimum SPM, Certificate, or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Maintenance, or a related technical discipline.

• Certification: Must possess a valid Electrical Wiring Certificate (PW2 / PW4) or equivalent certification recognized by Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST).

• Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on working experience in electrical, machinery, or facility maintenance, preferably within a manufacturing environment.

• Technical Skills: Strong ability to read basic electrical single-line diagrams, wiring schematics, and technical manuals. Hands-on skill in troubleshooting, mechanical repairs, plumbing, and basic fabrication.

• Attributes: High sense of responsibility, safety-conscious mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.

• Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime (OT) or attend to urgent breakdown calls when required.
