Product & Process Engineer

• Location: Pasir Gudang 

• Salary: RM 5000 -RM 6000

• Employment Type: Full-Time

• Reporting To: Product & Process Manager

Position Overview

We are looking for a detailed-oriented and analytical Product & Process Engineer to lead New Product Introduction (NPI) strategies, manufacturing process optimizations, and technical testing. Reporting directly to the Product & Process Manager, you will work closely with HQ, intercompany teams, and internal departments (Quality, Engineering, Production, and SCM) to define manufacturing guidelines, execute project timelines, and resolve design or process failures effectively.

Key Responsibilities & Authority

New Product Introduction (NPI) & Project Management

• Coordinate directly with HQ or intercompany teams to design and implement strategies for New Product Introduction (NPI).

• Prepare detailed project timelines, identify all necessary resource requirements, and evaluate manufacturing process costs.

• Monitor all new product statuses to ensure seamless project execution in line with company policies, standards, and procedures.

Process Development, Testing & Quality Collaboration

• Develop product test plans and execute production testing according to strict manufacturing process instructions.

• Create new manufacturing process requirements, technical specifications, and associated guidelines.

• Collaborate closely with Quality, Engineering, Production, SCM, and other relevant departments to execute planned tests and operational reviews.

Troubleshooting, Technical Support & Reporting

• Analyze, identify root causes, and recommend prompt corrective actions in the event of design or process failures.

• Provide technical support to the SCM department for preparing material lists (BOM) and registering new products or design modifications.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product statuses and submit regular operational reports to the Product & Process Manager.

Requirements & Competencies

• Education: Degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

• Languages: Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Japanese (required for HQ / intercompany collaboration).

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office Suite, and general computer / IT applications.

  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and technical problem-solving capabilities.

• Key Attributes:

  • High attention to detail with a proven track record of identifying, assessing, and solving complex engineering problems.

  • Strong interpersonal and persuasive skills to influence and optimize existing operational practices.

  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
