Salary: RM3,500 – RM4,500 per month
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical SMT Programmer / SMT Programming Technician to drive efficiency across our Surface Mount Technology (SMT) production lines. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, modifying, and optimizing machine programs for pick-and-place systems, stencil printers, and auxiliary equipment. You will play a pivotal role in supporting New Product Introduction (NPI), validating Gerber/BOM data, and resolving complex programming or equipment issues to maximize line yield and output.
Key Responsibilities

Program Development & Optimization: Prepare, create, and fine-tune SMT machine programs (Pick & Place, Stencil Printers, Inspection units) to ensure maximum production efficiency and minimize component defect rates.

NPI & Setup Support: Review PCB drawings, Gerber files, and Bill of Materials (BOM) data to set up new products and execute seamless NPI/line changeover operations.

Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution: Analyze and resolve programming-related production glitches and machine interface errors in real-time.

Process Documentation & Collaboration: Maintain accurate programming records, logs, and revisions while partnering closely with Engineering and Production teams to meet target output goals.
Requirements

Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience: Prior experience in SMT machine programming and PCB assembly processes is preferred.

Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with SMT programming software/equipment, reading component specifications, BOM, and Gerber/PCB layout drawings.

Key Skills: Proven ability in NPI setups, program debugging, process optimization, and working effectively under tight production timelines.
