Operation Manager
Location: Eco Business Park, Senai, Johor
Salary Range: RM 13,000.00 – RM 16,000.00 per month
Working Hours: Monday – Friday (8:00 AM – 6:00 PM)

Job Scope & Responsibilities
1. Operational Leadership & Strategy
-
Take full ownership and responsibility for the operation team within the new manufacturing facility.

Lead all plant operations in terms of efficiency, reliability, and culture, ensuring output meets top-tier efficiency and quality standards.

Form, lead, and develop a highly qualified and motivated team of professionals, encouraging cross-departmental collaboration and building bridges across Asian facilities.

Define necessary skills and identify training needs for departmental employees to support their professional growth.
2. Plant, Maintenance & Quality Management
-
Oversee end-to-end plant operations, including manufacturing, quality control and assurance, maintenance, warehousing, and logistics.

Implement and maintain the corporate Quality Assurance System (including relevant Quality Systems e.g., ISO) and ensure compliance with customer-specific and automotive standards.

Evaluate, recommend, and implement adequate modern manufacturing technologies.

Monitor production to resolve operational, maintenance, and quality issues promptly; approve maintenance works and equipment procurement.
3. Supply Chain & Financial Management

Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, including technical procurement, inventory management, warehousing, and shipment.

Manage supply chain vendor selection and maintain agreed inventory levels.

Take responsibility for departmental financial results, estimating costs, managing operational budgets, and preparing financial forecasts.

Define and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), operational performance, and efficiency gains directly to upper management.
4. Production Planning & Continuous Improvement

Coordinate production schedules and planning to assure the delivery of the right products at the right time, while optimizing material, labor, and time costs.

Identify, initiate, and manage continuous improvement programs (LEAN, Kaizen).

Framework and manage activities related to employee improvement proposals for products and processes, reporting results to management.
5. Compliance & Safety Culture
-
Ensure plant operations strictly adhere to local laws, statutory regulations, and industry compliance requirements.

Implement and enforce minimum corporate safety standards, local legally required safety procedures, and health precautions to foster a strong safety culture.
Requirements & Capabilities
-
Education: Minimum Master’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical background.
-
Experience: Minimum 5 years of proven track record as a Production Manager or Operation Manager within a technical manufacturing environment (background in engineering and plastic transformation preferred).

Technical Expertise: Technical affinity with plastic raw material transformation (extrusion process experience is a strong advantage).

Systems & Methodologies: Proficient with Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO), automotive standards, LEAN manufacturing, and Kaizen methodologies.

Supply Chain & Operations: Solid experience in supply chain management (procurement, warehousing, shipment), production planning/scheduling, operational financials, and KPI reporting.

Software Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office and ERP software systems.

Language Proficiency: Excellent command of English, with fluency in reading and speaking Chinese to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
