Group Procurement Manager

Location: Kota Kinabalu, Sabah

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Group Procurement Manager to lead, streamline, and elevate our overall procurement operations across the group. In this role, you will drive end-to-end purchasing strategies, vendor selection, contract negotiations, and international sourcing to optimize costs while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality excellence. Acting as a key leader within the group, you will manage supply chain risks, ensure compliance, and build robust international and local supplier networks to support our expanding resort and hotel portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Sourcing & International Procurement: Oversee cross-border procurement workflows, manage import/export procedures, clear customs requirements, and source specialized goods and operating supplies from global markets.

• Negotiation & Contract Management: Lead high-value contract negotiations, vendor agreements, and service-level agreements (SLAs) to achieve cost efficiencies without compromising quality or operational timelines.

• Vendor & Supply Chain Management: Establish, evaluate, and maintain long-term relationships with local and international suppliers; implement robust vendor performance scorecards and risk mitigation plans.

• Group Operations & Cost Control: standardise procurement policies across all hotel and resort properties, forecast material requirements, manage capital expenditure (CapEx) and operating expenditure (OpEx) budgets, and continuously identify cost-saving initiatives.

• Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate closely with resort general managers, department heads, and finance teams to align procurement activities with operational demands, compliance guidelines, and group budget targets.

Requirements

• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field. Minimum 6+ years of proven experience as a Procurement Manager strictly within the Resort or Hotel industry.

• Specialized Expertise: Demonstrated hands-on expertise in managing complex international procurement processes, international shipping logistics, tariff regulations, and global supplier networks.

• Key Skills: Exceptional commercial negotiation capabilities, contract management skills, financial acumen, and deep familiarity with hotel Operating Equipment & Supplies (OE&S) and Food & Beverage (F&B) sourcing.

• Languages: Proficiency in English is required; fluency in Mandarin is an added advantage to interface effectively with international suppliers and stakeholders.
