Location: Puchong, Selangor
Salary: RM10,000 – RM15,000 per month
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and proactive SOC Team Lead to oversee daily security operations, guide incident response efforts, and lead a team of SOC Analysts. In this role, you will be responsible for real-time monitoring, detection, containment, and remediation of security threats across our hybrid infrastructure. You will act as the operational bridge between Tier 1/Tier 2 analysts, senior security management, and cross-functional teams, ensuring operational readiness, continuous tuning of detection tools, and strict adherence to SLAs and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, PDPA, RMIT).
Key Responsibilities

Operations & Threat Detection: Lead daily 24/7/365 SOC operations, event triage, and alert prioritization across SIEM, EDR, NDR, and cloud platforms. Manage P1/P2 incidents from detection to root cause analysis (RCA), optimize SOC playbooks/SOAR workflows, and track MTTD/MTTR metrics.

Team Leadership & Mentorship: Supervise, mentor, and evaluate Tier 1 and Tier 2 SOC Analysts. Manage shift handovers, training schedules, performance reviews, and technical skill uplift plans.

Compliance, Audit & Improvement: Align SOC operations with organizational policies, ISO 27001, and regulatory standards. Support internal/external audits, conduct Business Impact Analyses (BIA), and execute regular threat hunting and purple teaming exercises using the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
Requirements

Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT, or equivalent. Minimum 3+ years in cybersecurity operations, including at least 2+ years in a senior or supervisory SOC role.

Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with SIEM (Splunk, StellarCyber, QRadar, Elastic) and EDR solutions (CrowdStrike, Defender for Endpoint). Strong knowledge of network protocols, MITRE ATT&CK, log analysis, SOAR, and scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash).

Frameworks & Process: Solid grasp of Incident Response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61, ISO/IEC 27035) and security standards (ISO 27001, SOC 2, RMIT, PDPA).

Key Attributes: Excellent crisis management, analytical problem-solving, and clear communication skills for stakeholder escalation.
