Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) cum Authorised Gas Tester (AGT) / Entry Supervisor (ES)

Location: Pasir Gudang, Johor

Salary: RM 6,000 – RM 8,000 per month

Employment Type: Contract (6 Months)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) cum Authorised Gas Tester (AGT) / Entry Supervisor (ES) on a 6-month contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing site safety, ensuring strict compliance with DOSH regulations, managing confined space entries, and maintaining safety operational standards across project sites in Pasir Gudang.

Key Responsibilities

• Confined Space Operations & Monitoring: Act as the certified AGT and ES by conducting atmospheric gas testing, verifying entry permits, monitoring safe entry into confined spaces, and maintaining accurate entry logs and test records.

• Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full adherence to DOSH Confined Space Regulations, Industry Code of Practice (ICOP 2010), Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems, and statutory safety requirements.

• Site Inspections & Hazard Control: Monitor day-to-day project and maintenance safety activities, perform regular site inspections, report unsafe acts/conditions, and ensure personnel comply with company safety protocols.

• Risk Management & Technical Documentation: Assist in preparing and reviewing Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Risk Assessments (RA), and draft weekly reports on confined space activities, compliance status, and safety observations.

• Emergency Preparedness & Stakeholder Coordination: Support emergency response arrangements for confined space operations, liaise with contractors and project teams to implement safety measures, and assist in incident investigations and corrective action tracking.

Requirements

• Professional Certification: Must possess a valid Yellow Book (SSS) recognized by DOSH, alongside valid Authorised Gas Tester (AGT) and Entry Supervisor (ES) competency certifications recognized by DOSH.

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of working experience in confined space safety, project safety, or industrial safety operations is preferred.

• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of DOSH regulations, ICOP 2010, PTW systems, JSA, and RA methodologies.

• Skills & Attributes: Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, ability to work independently, and effective communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

• Mobility: Willingness to work on-site in Pasir Gudang and travel across local operational/maintenance project sites as required.
