Supply Chain Manager

• Location: 81700 Pasir Gudang, Johor

• Salary: RM10,000 – RM15,000 per month

• Employment Type: Full-Time (Managerial Grade)

Position Overview We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Supply Chain Manager to join our team, reporting directly to the General Manager – Plant. The successful candidate will direct and coordinate warehousing, procurement, distribution, production planning, and inventory management activities to optimize costs, improve accuracy, and drive operational efficiency. You will examine existing procedures, streamline processes, and manage the movement and storage of inventory to align with overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Supply Chain Strategy & Compliance: Design, implement, and update supply chain processes and strategies adapted to changing market conditions, new business opportunities, and cost reduction goals. Ensure all practices comply with environmental policies, standards, regulations, and laws.

2. Procurement & Supplier Management: Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers, vendors, and freight forwarders. Establish evaluation procedures, monitor supplier performance against quality and delivery metrics, provide feedback, and align on production forecasts.

3. Warehouse & Inventory Optimization: Design and execute plant warehousing strategies for raw materials and finished products. Assess material handling equipment needs and staffing levels. Analyze stock to decrease excess inventory and apply LIFO principles where appropriate.

4. Planning & Cross-Functional Coordination: Partner with supply chain planners to forecast demand and build robust supply plans. Develop procedures to align supply chain operations with Sales & Marketing, Production, Finance, and Quality Assurance.

5. Operational Oversight: Manage end-to-end strategic and tactical purchasing, materials requirements planning (MRP), receiving, and inventory control.

Requirements

1. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

2. Experience: Minimum 5–10 years of progressive supply chain experience, with proven leadership in a managerial role within a manufacturing/plant setup.

3. Location: Based in or willing to work in 81700 Pasir Gudang, Johor.

4. Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical, and leadership abilities. Proven track record in process optimization, inventory reduction, and cross-functional collaboration.

5. Language: Good command of written and spoken English.
