Electrical Engineer

Salary Range: RM 5,000.00 – RM 6,000.00 per month

Location: Indahpura, 81000 Kulai, Johor

Job Scope & Duties

• Troubleshoot and repair alternating current (AC) electrical systems on generators, automatic transfer switches (ATS), generator controls, and engine-related mechanical failures.

• Perform routine preventative maintenance, including oil and filter changes, part replacements, and general inspections on all generator sets.

• Conduct generator functional testing, load bank testing, and full testing and commissioning of Gensets on-site.

• Diagnose and repair any electrical or mechanical issues identified during Genset testing.

• Perform voltage adjustments and setting changes on generators according to customer specifications.

• Re-wire, adjust, and install control panels, circuit breakers, and voltage regulators.

• Adjust speed controls and calibrate various settings within programming modules.

• Install, service, and repair lighting fixtures, electrical panels, outlets, and Genset wiring.

• Identify and alleviate potential safety hazards around generator sets.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

• At least 2 to 5 years of working experience in electrical installation, troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning of diesel generator sets.

• Hands-on experience with diesel engine brands such as Volvo, Perkins, Doosan, MTU, or others ranging from 20 kVA to 3000 kVA.

• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical equipment with the ability to interpret engineering drawings, interconnection wiring diagrams, and schematics.

• Proficiency in English is compulsory.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and customer communication skills.

• Possession of an A4 Chargeman certification is a strong added advantage.
