System Engineer (Japanese Speaking)

Location: Pasir Gudang, Johor

Salary: RM5,000 – RM8,000 per month

Job Summary

We are seeking a System Engineer (Japanese Speaking) to join an established technical manufacturing firm. You will support IT systems, infrastructure, and daily technical operations while serving as a key communication link between local operations and Japanese management/headquarters.

Key Responsibilities

• IT Infrastructure & System Support: Maintain and troubleshoot servers, network systems, computers, printers, and IT equipment to ensure high service availability and reliability.

• System Administration: Administer user accounts, permissions, backups, IT security controls, system records, and equipment inventories.

• Projects & Implementation: Assist in deploying, testing, and upgrading new IT systems in close coordination with internal departments and Japan HQ.

• Vendor & Stakeholder Support: Liaise with external IT service providers, evaluate vendor performance, and communicate technical updates effectively in Japanese.

Requirements

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

• Language: Proficiency in Japanese (JLPT N2 or above preferred) and effective communication in English.

• Experience: 2–5 years of experience in system administration, IT infrastructure, or system engineering (Experience in a Japanese manufacturing environment is an advantage; proactive fresh graduates with strong language skills will be considered).

• Technical Skills: Sound knowledge of Windows OS, LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, data backup, and basic cybersecurity. Knowledge of ERP/MES systems is a plus.
