Facilities Manager

Location: Johor Bahru, Johor

Salary: RM,9000 – RM11,000 per month 

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee day-to-day building operations, facilities maintenance, and safety compliance for SKS Group. Candidates must have prior working experience in shopping malls/commercial complexes to ensure smooth, uninterrupted operations across all building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, escalators, lifts, etc.).

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Oversight: Oversee daily facility operations, coordinating repairs, renovations, and maintenance to eliminate operational disruptions.

• Maintenance Planning & SOPs: Develop and implement Building & Facilities Maintenance SOPs and preventive maintenance schedules to maintain smooth building performance.

• Routine Inspections: Conduct routine walk-throughs and preventive inspections to identify and resolve building or equipment irregularities early.

• Contractor Management: Coordinate and supervise all outsourced service providers and contractors to ensure work meets required quality standards and timelines.

• Safety & Compliance: Maintain Emergency Response Plans (ERP), conduct safety drills, and ensure strict compliance with all OSHA requirements.

• Team Leadership: Lead and guide the facilities team in troubleshooting breakdowns or interruptions in utilities and system services.

Requirements

• Education: Minimum Diploma or Degree in Facilities Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Industry Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in Facilities Management specifically within Shopping Malls or Commercial Complexes.

• Technical Mastery: In-depth technical knowledge of building systems, maintenance, and utilities (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, escalators, lifts, lighting, etc.).

• Leadership & Soft Skills: Strong communication skills across all organizational levels with proven ability to lead teams during critical system interruptions.
