SMT Coating Technician / Operator Location: Iskandar Puteri, Johor

Employment: Permanent (Local Malaysian)

Salary: RM3,500 – RM4,500 per month (commensurate with experience)

Job Summary

We are seeking a diligent and safety-conscious SMT Coating Technician / Operator to join our production team in Iskandar Puteri. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring PCB conformal coating equipment, conducting quality checks on coating thickness and coverage, and ensuring all production processes strictly adhere to technical specifications. You will play a key role in maintaining smooth line flow, ensuring chemical safety, and upholding high product quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Operation & Preparation: Operate and monitor PCB conformal coating equipment, including masking/unmasking, loading/unloading printed circuit boards, and managing the curing/drying workflow.

• Quality & Process Control: Inspect coating coverage, thickness, and overall physical appearance against engineering standards. Perform basic troubleshooting for line process issues.

• Safety & Maintenance: Safely handle production materials and chemicals according to safety guidelines. Maintain machines, tools, and the workstation in a clean and compliant condition.

• Production Documentation: Accurately record daily output, inspection results, and defect metrics to support cross-functional quality improvement efforts.

Requirements

• Education: Certificate or Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, or a related technical discipline.

• Experience: Hands-on experience in PCB conformal coating or general electronics manufacturing is preferred.

• Technical & Operational Skills: Solid understanding of quality standards, clear ability to read and follow detailed Work Instructions (WI), and knowledge of chemical safety practices.

• Work Arrangement: Willing and able to work shift patterns and perform overtime as dictated by production demand.
