Senior SMT Technician / SMT Process Engineer

Location: Iskandar Puteri

Salary: RM3,500 – RM4,500 per month 

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior SMT Technician / SMT Process Engineer to oversee line setup, machine programming, and troubleshooting within the SMT manufacturing line. In this role, you will lead process optimizations, support New Product Introduction (NPI), analyze yield defects, and provide technical guidance to junior technicians.

Key Responsibilities

• Equipment Operation & Programming: Set up, operate, program, optimize, and balance SMT lines (Printer, Pick & Place, Reflow Oven, SPI, AOI).

• Process Troubleshooting & Defect Analysis: Troubleshoot SMT process and equipment issues to minimize downtime, analyze defects, and execute corrective/preventive actions.

• NPI & Yield Enhancement: Support NPI activities, new project transfers, and implement process improvements to enhance yield.

• Quality & Compliance: Monitor process parameters, collaborate with QA/Engineering on validation, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.

• Leadership: Train, guide, and lead junior technicians and operators on technical matters.

Requirements

• Education: Diploma or Degree in Engineering or a related field preferred.

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on working experience in SMT process and equipment troubleshooting.

• Technical Skills: Strong technical knowledge in SMT machine programming, process control, and line balancing.

• Work Style: Ability to make independent technical decisions and lead process improvement initiatives.
