Technical Sales – Software Application (SDO)

Location: Bandar Cassia, Penang

Salary: RM4,000 – RM6,000 per month

Job Summary

We are seeking a Technical Sales Specialist (Software Application) to support our sales team in Penang. The successful candidate will act as a technical advisor throughout the sales cycle, delivering software presentations, preparing Proof-of-Concepts (POCs), responding to RFI/RFP documents, and ensuring seamless handovers between presales and delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Presales & Technical Advisory: Collaborate with the sales team to understand client requirements and propose tailored software solutions. Act as the primary technical advisor during the sales cycle.

• Demos & POCs: Deliver product presentations, perform live solution demonstrations, and customize Proof-of-Concepts (POCs) for target clients.

• RFI/RFP & Documentation: Draft technical proposals and respond directly to technical requirements in RFI/RFP documentation.

• Cross-Functional Handover: Partner with Product and Implementation teams to transition awarded deals smoothly from presales to project delivery.

• Client Workshops & Enablement: Conduct solution workshops and training sessions for clients and partners.

• Market Awareness: Stay updated on software industry trends, competitor product offerings, and emerging technologies.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in software presales, solution consulting, or technical sales.

• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of enterprise software solutions (e.g., Business Intelligence, analytics, low-code platforms). Familiarity with databases, data visualization, and workflow automation is an advantage. Experience in Supply Chain Management (SCM) is preferred.

• Language Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Fluency in Hokkien is preferred to liaise with local client demographics.

• Mobility: Must possess own transportation and be willing to travel for client meetings and presentations.

• Target Demographic: Preferably aged below 40.
