Batching Plant Supervisor

Location: Ulu Choh, Johor
Salary: RM2,500 – RM3,500

Job Summary

We are looking for a Batching Plant Supervisor / Technician to oversee daily operations of a concrete batching plant and ensure efficient production, quality, safety and plant readiness. The role will coordinate production activities, supervise plant personnel, monitor concrete quality and support troubleshooting and maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily concrete production according to casting schedules and mix designs.
• Ensure the batching plant is ready and operational before production starts.
• Monitor production rates and coordinate batching sequences to meet production requirements.
• Supervise batching plant operators, loaders and plant mechanics, including task allocation and shift performance.
• Ensure operators follow approved concrete mix designs and safety procedures.
• Monitor concrete quality, including aggregate moisture, weighing calibration, slump testing and cube sampling.
• Maintain calibration, batching, production and maintenance records.
• Coordinate with Production, QC, Procurement/Store, Maintenance and Engineering teams.
• Monitor stock levels of cement, aggregates, admixtures and water while controlling material wastage.
• Troubleshoot batching plant and production issues, including weighing errors, conveyor malfunctions and inconsistent concrete results.
• Respond to urgent plant breakdowns and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Enforce PPE, housekeeping and safe operating procedures within the batching plant.
• Prepare daily production reports and propose initiatives to improve plant efficiency.
• Train batching operators on mix design accuracy, quality requirements and plant safety.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Ready-Mix Concrete or Concrete Precast Manufacturing.
• Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Computer literate, preferably with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Good understanding of concrete batching, production processes and quality requirements.
• Strong troubleshooting, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to supervise and manage plant personnel effectively.
