Assistant Accounts Manager

  • Working Hours: Monday – Friday (8:30 AM – 5:30 PM), Saturday (8:30 AM – 12:30 PM)

  • Salary Range: RM 8,000 – RM 10,000

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Assistant Account Manager to oversee our financial operations, budgeting, and cost management within the Concrete Precast manufacturing sector. Reporting directly to the CFO/CEO, you will lead the accounts department, supervise finance and operational staff, and ensure financial accuracy, internal controls, and regulatory compliance across all operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Planning & Execution: Develop annual financial plans, budgets, and forecasts aligned with business objectives. Oversee full-set accounting functions (AP, AR, payroll, GL) and coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual account closings.

  • Cost Control & Material Management: Partner with Production, Procurement, and QS departments to monitor raw material, labor, and overhead costs, ensuring strict budget utilization and procurement efficiency.

  • Team Leadership & Workforce Management: Supervise and assign tasks to direct subordinates (Accounts Executive/Assistant, Senior Purchasing Executive, Assistant IT Manager, Storekeeper). Conduct performance evaluations and foster continuous staff development.

  • Compliance, Tax & Statutory Audit: Maintain full compliance with accounting standards, taxation laws, and risk management procedures. Manage statutory audit preparations and liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and banking institutions.

  • Reporting & Process Improvement: Prepare detailed financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and management reports. Drive continuous improvements in accounting systems and internal workflows.

  • Troubleshooting & Risk Mitigation: Investigate record discrepancies, resolve supplier/customer payment disputes, address cash flow challenges, and eliminate financial inefficiencies.

Requirements

  • Education & Qualification: Minimum Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance Management, or equivalent discipline.

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on Finance & Accounting experience specifically within the Concrete Precast Manufacturing industry.

  • Technical Skills: Computer literate with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and accounting/ERP software.

  • Soft Skills: Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities. Excellent communication skills to coordinate across internal departments and interface with top management.
