General Manager (Manufacturing – Precision Engineering)

  • Employment Type: Full-Time (On-site)

  • Working Hours: Monday – Friday (Standard Office Hours)

  • Salary Range: RM 15,000 – RM 20,000

 

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead and optimize our manufacturing operations within the Precision Engineering sector. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), you will oversee all core operational functions—including production, quality control, maintenance, and supply chain management—to drive efficiency, quality, and overall profitability.

This key leadership role requires a strategic visionary with a proven track record in precision engineering, operational excellence, and full P&L management.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Management: Oversee end-to-end manufacturing operations (production, QC, maintenance, supply chain). Establish operational policies, ensure compliance with safety/environmental standards, and track KPIs to maximize efficiency and resource utilization (labor, materials, equipment).

  • Strategic Planning & Market Growth: Formulate and execute strategic plans to achieve long-term corporate goals. Analyze precision engineering market trends and lead initiatives for continuous product innovation and growth.

  • Financial & P&L Management: Manage the operational annual budget, monitor financial performance, implement cost-saving initiatives, and oversee full P&L accountability to ensure targets and financial sustainability are met.

  • Customer & Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with key clients, suppliers, and industry stakeholders. Work closely with sales and marketing to align production capabilities with market demand, representing the company at industry trade shows and events.

  • Team Leadership: Provide executive oversight, foster an environment of continuous improvement, and align cross-functional teams toward operational targets.

 

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Management, or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant executive management experience in manufacturing operations, strictly within the Precision Engineering sector.

  • Core Competencies:

    • Proven leadership track record managing large-scale manufacturing environments.

    • Deep understanding of precision engineering processes, continuous improvement methodologies, quality assurance, and supply chain management.

    • Strong strategic planning, analytical mindset, and solid P&L management capabilities.

    • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

    • Agility to thrive and lead effectively in a fast-paced environment.
