Group IT Administrator

-Location: Taman Perindustrian Gembira, 81200 Johor Bahru

-Salary: RM8,000 – RM11,000

-Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Group IT Administrator to ensure the operational excellence, stability, and security of our group’s global technology ecosystem. Reporting directly to the Group CIO, this senior role is responsible for maintaining global collaboration platforms, subsidiary network architectures, and group-level application backends. A key priority for this role will be implementing ISO 27001 standards to ensure all IT assets, hybrid hosting environments, and access controls strictly align with global security policies and audit requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Global Security & Platform Administration:

  • Administer the enterprise collaboration suite, managing global identity provisioning and enforcing "least-privilege" access per ISO 27001 standards.

  • Manage enterprise-grade firewalls (e.g., Clavister) and monitor Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR / WithSecure) alerts to protect against cyber threats.

  • Lead technical audits and implement remediation plans to maintain Group-wide ISMS compliance across all managed platforms.

• Backend & Hybrid Cloud Management:

  • Administer and maintain group-level application backends (excluding core ERP/CRM functional logic) to ensure high availability and performance.

  • Manage and optimize infrastructure across the Group Datacenter and Public Cloud Providers (AWS, GCP, Vercel).

  • Perform routine maintenance, patching, and scaling of virtualized environments and cloud-native instances.

• Subsidiary Architecture & Network Management:

  • Design and implement robust network topologies for regional subsidiaries to ensure cross-office connectivity and 99.9% uptime.

  • Maintain a rigorous asset inventory ( Snipe-IT) for hardware, software, servers, and endpoints.

• Service Management & Business Support:

  • Administer ITSM platforms (JIRA) and optimize workflows for the global IT team while providing Tier 2/3 support to regional subsidiaries worldwide.

  • Act as technical lead for new IT projects, site expansions, and software deployments.

  • Serve as a proactive advisor to the Group CIO on infrastructure, cloud strategy, and service delivery enhancements.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 12+ years of hands-on experience in Systems, Network, Cloud Administration, and Backend Management.

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent.

• Technical Expertise:

  • Proficient in Cloud Infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Vercel) and On-premise system administration.

  • Expert knowledge of Network Topology, Virtualization, and hybrid hosting architectures.

  • Deep understanding of ISO 27001 controls, firewall management, and EDR security methodologies.

  • Experience with tools such as Google Workspace Enterprise, JIRA, Snipe-IT, Bitwarden, Snowflake, Tableau, and Proofpoint.

• Soft Skills & Language:

  • Professional fluency in English (spoken and written).

  • Proactive mindset with strong initiative to propose security and infrastructure enhancements.

  • High flexibility and willingness to support global operations across different time zones.
