QA Manager (Precision Sheet Metal Manufacturing)

Salary Range: RM9,000 – RM11,000

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure products and services consistently meet quality standards, customer requirements, regulatory requirements, and applicable industry standards.
• Serve as the Management Representative for the Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS).
• Plan, implement, maintain, and continuously improve the organization's quality and environmental management systems.
• Coordinate activities required to achieve and maintain compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and other applicable quality and environmental standards.
• Monitor, analyze, and report the performance of quality and environmental management systems, recommending improvement initiatives where necessary.
• Collaborate with department managers and employees to ensure effective implementation and continuous compliance with quality and environmental policies and procedures.
• Develop, review, and maintain quality procedures, work instructions, standards, and specifications.
• Review customer requirements and ensure products, processes, and documentation comply with contractual and quality expectations.
• Work closely with Purchasing and suppliers to establish, monitor, and improve supplier quality performance.
• Collect, analyze, and present quality performance data, KPIs, audit findings, and statistical reports to support management decision-making.
• Lead, coach, and supervise the Quality team to achieve departmental objectives and drive a culture of continuous improvement.
• Oversee internal and external quality audits, customer audits, and certification activities, ensuring timely closure of audit findings.
• Manage non-conformance investigations, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to improve product quality and operational performance.
• Serve as the appointed Scheduled Waste Competent Person, ensuring compliance with scheduled waste regulations, monitoring environmental performance, and reporting compliance status, resource requirements, and performance data to management.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in precision machining and/or precision sheet metal manufacturing.
• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Strong knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC), 7 QC Tools, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), ISO 9001, and ISO 14001.
• Experience in managing Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and quality audit processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and general computer usage.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
