MECHANICAL ENGINEER

Salary Range: RM4,500 – RM5,500

Responsibilities:

• Plan, monitor, and optimize the performance and reliability of manufacturing equipment and machinery.
• Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns, equipment failures, and production-related issues to minimize downtime.
• Develop, implement, and monitor preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability.
• Coordinate with Production, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to ensure efficient machine operation and minimal production disruptions.
• Analyze equipment performance, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend solutions to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Manage machine installation, relocation, modification, commissioning, and improvement projects.
• Ensure all maintenance and engineering activities comply with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Prepare maintenance reports, technical documentation, equipment records, and engineering reports.
• Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and service providers for equipment maintenance, repairs, and spare parts procurement.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, cost reduction programs, and equipment optimization projects.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 2–5 years of relevant working experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Good knowledge of mechanical systems, industrial machinery, and maintenance practices.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies, as well as Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Good communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and engineering-related software.
• Able to work effectively in a manufacturing plant environment.
