Strategic Sales Manager 

Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Strategic Sales Manager to lead business development initiatives within the Power Systems industry. This role is responsible for driving sales growth, developing strategic customer relationships, identifying new market opportunities, and expanding the company's presence across Malaysia and Southeast Asia.

The ideal candidate possesses strong commercial acumen, technical understanding of power system solutions, and a proven ability to secure high-value projects within the data centre, industrial, infrastructure, and commercial sectors.


Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the data centre, industrial, infrastructure, and commercial markets.
  • Develop and manage a strong sales pipeline from prospecting through project award.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders including developers, EPC contractors, consultants, system integrators, and OEMs.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to develop effective sales strategies.
  • Prepare sales proposals, quotations, and commercial presentations.

Account Management

  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key customers and strategic accounts.
  • Understand customer business needs and recommend suitable power system solutions.
  • Conduct technical presentations, solution workshops, product demonstrations, and participate in industry exhibitions.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the sales cycle.

Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and departmental objectives.
  • Work closely with engineering, operations, finance, and project teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and performance updates for senior management.

Financial & Strategic Planning

  • Manage sales budgets, revenue targets, and gross profit objectives.
  • Support annual business planning, market expansion initiatives, and portfolio development.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, commercial procedures, and quality management standards.
  • Monitor account receivables and support healthy cash flow management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of successful sales and business development experience within the power systems, electrical engineering, energy, or related industries.
  • Proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of power system products, electrical infrastructure, or critical power solutions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to build relationships with consultants, EPC contractors, developers, and end users.
  • Willingness to travel within Malaysia and overseas when required.
