Export Sales Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Export Sales Manager to drive international business growth by developing export markets, managing key customer relationships, and executing strategic sales initiatives. This role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, achieving sales targets, and expanding market presence across international territories.

The ideal candidate is an experienced sales professional with strong commercial acumen, international market knowledge, and a proven track record in export sales and business development.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

  • Identify and develop new export markets to achieve sustainable business growth and sales targets.

  • Develop and execute strategic sales and marketing plans to increase market penetration and revenue.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, agents, and key international customers.

  • Generate new sales opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, and market research.

  • Prepare quotations, negotiate commercial terms, and follow up on business opportunities to secure new accounts.

  • Maintain and grow existing customer relationships by understanding customer needs and identifying additional business opportunities.

Market Expansion

  • Plan and execute overseas business trips, customer visits, trade exhibitions, and industry events to promote products and strengthen market presence.

  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer preferences, and competitive activities.

  • Recommend strategies to improve market positioning, product offerings, and business competitiveness.

Sales Planning & Performance

  • Prepare annual sales forecasts, budgets, and business plans aligned with company objectives.

  • Monitor sales performance against targets and implement corrective actions when necessary.

  • Analyze sales data, market trends, and business performance to identify growth opportunities and improve profitability.

  • Contribute to strategic planning by providing market intelligence and commercial recommendations.

Product & Customer Management

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to support new product development based on market requirements.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.

  • Resolve customer inquiries, service issues, and product-related concerns promptly and professionally.

  • Recommend product improvements, packaging enhancements, and promotional activities to increase market appeal.

Compliance & Quality

  • Ensure export sales activities comply with applicable international trade regulations and company policies.

  • Support the implementation and maintenance of relevant food safety and quality management systems where applicable.

  • Maintain accurate sales records, customer documentation, and market reports.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned to support business objectives.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, International Business, Sales, or a related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales and marketing, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably in export or international sales.

  • Proven experience in developing export markets and managing international customer accounts.

  • Strong business development, negotiation, and relationship management skills.

  • Good understanding of export processes, international trade practices, and global market dynamics.

  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Experience participating in international trade exhibitions and overseas business development activities is an advantage.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and CRM or ERP systems.

  • Willingness to travel internationally as required.
