Senior Interior Designer

Location: Johor Bahru, Johor / Ara Damansara, Selangor
Salary: RM3,400 – RM6,900 per month
Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

We are looking for a creative and experienced Senior Interior Designer to lead interior design projects from concept development through project completion. This role is ideal for a design professional with strong technical expertise, excellent project coordination skills, and a passion for delivering functional and aesthetically pleasing interior spaces.

The successful candidate will work closely with clients, project teams, suppliers, and contractors to ensure design excellence, timely project delivery, and high-quality execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop creative design concepts, space planning, detailed layouts, and high-quality 3D visualizations for assigned projects.
• Produce accurate technical drawings and construction details for fabrication and site implementation.
• Meet and coordinate with clients to understand project requirements, present design proposals, and incorporate feedback.
• Prepare material boards, finishes, and specifications for client review and approval.
• Conduct site visits and site measurements to assess existing conditions and support design development.
• Coordinate closely with project teams, suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors throughout all project phases.
• Resolve design and technical issues during construction to ensure successful project execution.
• Monitor project progress to ensure drawings and design deliverables are completed within agreed timelines.
• Maintain high standards of design accuracy, quality, and compliance with project requirements.
• Support project handover by ensuring all design deliverables are completed satisfactorily.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in the Interior Design & Build industry.
• Proven experience managing projects from concept design through construction and final completion.
• Strong knowledge of interior materials, detailing, construction methods, and fabrication processes.
• Excellent project management, organizational, and time management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors.
• Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
