Sales Engineer (JB & Penang)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and grow sales of cutting tools, PCD tools, carbide tools, and machining solutions within the assigned territory.
• Identify and establish relationships with new customers in automotive, electronics, semiconductor, aerospace, medical device, and precision engineering industries.
• Manage and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure long-term business growth.
• Conduct regular customer visits to understand production challenges and propose suitable tooling solutions.
• Provide technical consultation and application support on machining processes, tool selection, cutting parameters, and productivity improvements.
• Prepare quotations, pricing proposals, and commercial negotiations.
• Follow up on quotations, projects, and customer inquiries to secure orders.
• Collaborate with Application Engineers and suppliers to conduct tooling trials and product demonstrations.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer developments within the assigned territory.
• Maintain accurate sales forecasts, customer visit reports, and CRM records.
• Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets established by management.
• Participate in exhibitions, trade shows, and technical seminars to promote company products and services.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of sales experience in cutting tools, machine tools, CNC machining, industrial tooling, or precision engineering industries.
• Fresh graduates with strong machining knowledge and passion for technical sales are encouraged to apply.
• Knowledge of CNC milling, turning, drilling, and machining applications will be an added advantage.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Self-motivated, customer-oriented, and able to work independently.
• Possess own transport and willing to travel extensively within the assigned region.
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin will be an added advantage due to customer requirements.
