RM4,000 – RM6,000 per month (commensurate with qualifications and experience)
Position Summary
The Site Engineer is responsible for overseeing daily site operations and ensuring construction activities are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, project schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements. The role involves coordinating with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to ensure efficient project execution and timely completion of works.
Key Responsibilities
Site Supervision & Coordination

Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities to ensure works are executed according to approved plans and specifications.

Monitor site progress and ensure project milestones are achieved within the established schedule.

Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and site personnel to facilitate smooth project execution.

Assist in resolving technical and operational issues encountered on-site.

Ensure site activities comply with project requirements and construction standards.
Project Execution & Monitoring

Review construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents prior to execution.

Monitor work quality and workmanship to ensure compliance with project specifications.

Conduct site inspections and verify completed works before submission for consultant inspections.

Track project progress and report delays, risks, or potential issues to the Project Manager.

Assist in planning manpower, materials, and equipment requirements.
Quality Assurance & Control

Ensure all construction works comply with approved drawings, quality standards, and contract requirements.

Coordinate inspections, testing activities, and quality control procedures.

Identify non-conformance issues and implement corrective actions.

Maintain quality records, inspection reports, and relevant documentation.
Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance

Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) regulations and site safety requirements.

Conduct routine site inspections to identify and address safety hazards.

Promote safe work practices among workers, subcontractors, and site personnel.

Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to site safety procedures.

Report incidents, accidents, and unsafe conditions to management promptly.
Documentation & Reporting

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly site progress reports.

Maintain accurate records of site activities, manpower deployment, material usage, and work progress.

Assist in preparing site instructions, requests for information (RFI), inspection requests, and technical submissions.

Monitor and document variation works and site changes.

Ensure project documentation is properly maintained and updated.
Stakeholder Coordination

Liaise with consultants, clients, authorities, and subcontractors on technical and site-related matters.

Attend site meetings and provide updates on project progress and technical issues.

Coordinate inspections and approvals from consultants and relevant authorities.
-
Maintain professional relationships with all project stakeholders.
Requirements
Education
-
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building Engineering, or a related discipline.

Fresh graduates with relevant internship or site experience are encouraged to apply.
-
Professional certifications related to construction or site management will be an added advantage.
Experience
-
Minimum 2–5 years of experience in construction site supervision and project execution.
-
Experience in industrial, infrastructure, commercial, or building construction projects is preferred.
-
Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications, and site coordination activities.
-
Experience working with contractors, consultants, and subcontractors is advantageous.
Knowledge & Skills

Strong understanding of construction methods, engineering principles, and site operations.

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
-
Knowledge of local construction regulations, quality standards, and safety requirements.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and AutoCAD.

Good problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet project deadlines.

Working Conditions

May be required to work extended hours, weekends, or public holidays depending on project schedules and operational requirements.
